November 2025 Update

During this season of thanksgiving we are more acutely aware of all that we have to be thankful for. What a blessing and privilege it is to serve our community. We are grateful for all of the participants and families that come to the farm each year – you are an inspiration and a blessing. We are grateful to serve alongside the most dedicated, passionate, and selfless volunteers – thank you for being the hands and feet of Jesus! We are grateful to all of the individuals and businesses that support the mission financially – this work could not happen without your faithful giving! We are grateful to our dedicated Board of Directors – thank you for your leadership and for championing the mission. And above all, we are grateful for God’s provision and care for all who visit Renew. We are grateful for the redeeming work that He is doing in and through Renew.
Let’s close out 2025 overflowing with gratitude for all He has done and continues to do. Let’s live thank-full.

College Students Pour Into the Mission
A very hardworking group of students from Illinois State University’s Encounter Campus Ministry traveled to Michigan to spend some time serving and blessing Renew. The team worked at the farm for two days doing all sorts of projects, including mucking paddocks, cleaning the barn and tack, helping with office projects, and so much more. What a blessing you all have been to Renew!

A Special Visit
This past month Renew had some very special visitors to the farm. Yadah Ramirez, the Community Foundation of Holland/Zeeland’s Director of Community Impact, and a group of high school students were able to tour the farm, learn about the mission at Renew, interact with the horses, and experience some programming. “The Youth Advisory Committee (YAC),” Yadah explained, “is a group of local high school students who are responsible for reviewing and recommending grants for programs that benefit area youth. The mission of the YAC is to empower young people, involve them in the community, and teach them about philanthropy while they serve as stewards through grantmaking.”
“YAC members meet at least once a month during the school year for grantmaking, site visits to local organizations, and learning about community needs and philanthropy,” Yadah continued. “Site visits are an important part to the experience because when they get to meet the passionate people running programs that have received community endowment funding and hear the stories behind the impact numbers, it helps them understand where support is needed and why their grant decisions matter. The visit to Renew was particularly inspiring and made our YAC students even more excited to help create positive change for youth and their families in our area.”
In 2024, Renew was a recipient of a multi-year year grant that helped fund Phase Two of the Ride with Renew capital campaign and will help to fund the expansion of REAL (Renew Equine Assisted Learning) programs that serve veterans and first responders (Standing Watch) and children affected by adoption and/or foster care (Pony Pals).
We are grateful to the YAC group for coming out to Renew and for their commitment to improving lives in our community!
